Delivery Chef is the easiest, fastest and least expensive online food ordering platform that enables you to order food online from the best local restaurants and more for delivery to your location, or to pick-up from. You no longer need to store paper menus that become out-dated quickly. Instead, you now see the entire menus online for numerous restaurants and more serving delightful cuisines across Mumbai and can order food in just a few clicks. Delivery Chef also offers you a host of interactive features such as numerous user reviews, ratings and more.

 How do I place an order for food?

Finding food spots on Delivery Chef is a simple one click procedure. Just enter your delivery area, zone and sub-zone and press the search button - You will be presented with a list of food spots that deliver to your doorstep or that you can pick-up from. Simply click on a food spot to view its menu. Select the items you want and click on checkout to place your order.

You can select a delivery time, filter for a type of food spot or change the order type from delivery to pick-up.

 What is a Food Spot?

At Delivery Chef, we believe in doing things differently, and bringing you the food you want. Food Spot is a term we use for a place that serves you your favorite food. A food spot could be a restaurant, an ice-cream parlour, a bakery, a mithai shop, a grocery, suppliers of home-cooked food or anything else.

 What items can I buy through this site?

You can order any kind of food items such all cuisines, ice-creams, cakes, mithais, groceries, beverages, and all that satisfies your taste buds for deliveries or take-aways from the best local restaurants and more.

Ordering food on Delivery Chef costs you the same, if not less, than ordering directly from the Food Spots*. Additionally, with Delivery Chef, you can avail numerous special offers and discounts from Food Spots that they only offer to Delivery Chef customers.

 How can I pay for my orders?

How would you like to pay? Through COD (cash on delivery), Net Banking, or credit or debit card? We leave that for you to decide. For online payments, Delivery Chef uses CC Avenue’s Secure Payment Gateway, a site secured by VeriSign.

 Do I need to sign-up to place an order/ Why Sign-Up?

You do not need to sign-up on Delivery Chef to browse through food spots and see their menus or features. However, to place an order, you need to sign-up to enable us to provide quality service and maintain a secure platform. We need some details from you to confirm your order and keep you posted such as your contact information. This will help us track your order and in turn relay the information to you. With quality service we also try to make things simple for you.

 How can I sign-up on Delivery Chef?

Signing-up is a simple, quick & one-time process. Just fill up the short SIGN UP form with your valid information and you’re ready to go. That’s it. Start ordering now on Delivery Chef! We told you things are simple here.

 Do I need to enter my address from scratch every time I want to place an order?

No, this is one of the advantages of signing up with Delivery Chef. Every time you login to order, your saved details will automatically show up in the checkout page. Just select from your saved addresses and click the START your order button.

 Can I order other things like a cold drink?

Yes you can.

 I don’t have access to the internet. Can I still use your services?

Yes, you can place orders over the phone on +91 22 2200 3300 between 11:00am and 11:00pm.

 Can I place orders over the phone?

Yes. To place orders from any food spot on the Delivery Chef network, you just need to remember one number +91 22 2200 3330. Call us between 11:00am-11:00pm.

 How much in advance do I need to place the order?

You can place orders for food to be delivered immediately, in which case the food spots will deliver them as soon as they can or however much in advance as you need to. To place orders for immediate delivery, on the Home Page select “Now” from the drop-down near “When would you like your food?” On the results page, you will be able to see the estimated delivery times for all the food spots. To place advance orders, please select the relevant time on the Home Page from the drop-down near "When would you like your food?"

 Can I order food for a later date/time?

Yes. To place advance orders, please select the relevant time on the Home Page from the drop-down near "When would you like your food?".

 Can I order from multiple food spots in one order?

Yes! You can order from multiple food spots in one order as long as your order from each food spot is above the food spot’s required minimum delivery amount. To order from multiple food spots, add items to your cart from the relevant menus and click checkout once you have added all the items you want.

 In case my internet connection is lost at any step during the ordering process, what can I do?

If you loose internet connection before you checkout your order, your order will not go through. The best way to confirm whether your order has gone through is to check your email account for a confirmation email. If you have not received the confirmation email, chances are your order did not go through. For any further questions regarding your order, you may contact us on +91 22 2200 3330 between 11:00 – 11:00 p.m.

 Do I have to make payment by credit card if I order online?

No. You can pay for your orders with cash on delivery or online using credit or debit cards or net banking.

 What do “Delivery” and “Pickup” mean?

Delivery means ordering food to be delivered by the food spot directly to your door step. Pickup means you are ordering food online and will go pick it up from the food spot.

 Who delivers the food?

The food spots on our network directly deliver the food themselves to your doorstep.

 How my order is sent to the food spot?

Placing an order via Delivery Chef is the fastest and most reliable method of ordering from a food spot. After you have confirmed (checked out) your order, Delivery Chef immediately, electronically transmits your order to the food spots via an advanced and reliable electronic system. Just enjoy your meal, leave the rest to us.

 Is there any minimum amount to order?

Delivery Chef does not have any required minimum delivery amount. However, your chosen food spot may have a required minimum order for delivery listed alongside the Food Spot Listing.

 I stay next to the food spot I ordered from. Will I still have to pay the delivery charges? If yes, why?

Delivery Chef does not charge any fees for deliveries. However, if the food spot you ordered from has listed a delivery fee for your delivery location, it would be applicable on your order.

 How much time will the food spot take to deliver?

We try our best to give prompt service however the time frame WILL vary depending on the policy of the food spot. You should see an estimated delivery time in the food spot listing page. During poor weather or traffic situations it may take longer than usual. BUT WE WILL GET THERE! You can always get in touch with Delivery Chef directly to inquire about the status of your order.

 How soon can I pick up my food?

Once submitted, Delivery Chef starts processing your order immediately. Orders are generally transmitted automatically to the food spot within seconds of submission. You will receive a confirmation email after your order has been received by the Food spot.

After receiving a confirmation email, please allow the food spot 15 to 30 minutes, on average, to prepare your order before picking it up.

 How do I cancel/ change an Order placed?


Orders once placed cannot be cancelled or changed as they are immediately transmitted to the food spot for preparation. In extreme situations, you can get in touch with Delivery Chef Representatives on +91 22 2200 3330

 How do I change my order?

Before you check out, in your order cart on the top right of the screen, you should be able to view your order. Clicking the edit or delete button will allow you to change your order. Use edit to alter the item and delete to completely remove the item from the cart.

 How can I resolve an issue with a current order?

For any issues you may face, you can contact Delivery Chef on +91 22 2200 3330 between 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, seven days a week. For orders placed outside these hours, the best contact for any issues is the food spot directly. You will receive their contact details in your confirmation email.

 How do I know when the food spot receives my order?

When you submit an order to Delivery Chef, it is automatically electronically transmitted to the food spot. You will simultaneously receive a confirmation email. If, at the time of confirmation, the food spot informs Delivery Chef that they have a problem fulfilling your order for reasons such as item not available, lack of staff, etc we will inform you by phone on the number you provide. However, if we are unable to reach you by phone, we will inform you via email.

 What do I do if I did not receive an email order confirmation?

Check any spam or junk folders on your email. If you have not received an email confirmation, chances are that your order did not go through. Please Contact us on +91 22 2200 3330 to confirm your order status and ensure that your email address is correct in our system.

 How do I get a copy of my Online Order for my records?

When you place an order on Delivery Chef, you receive an email confirming the order. In addition, the Recent Orders section under "My Profile" has details of all your previous orders.

 Where all is my personal information used?

Only the part of your personal information that is required to complete your order such as your address, phone number, etc. is sent to the food spots that you order from to help them deliver your order accurately. Delivery Chef use your email address to send communications relating to your account as well as your order confirmations, updates on special offers/ discounts and any such information that benefits you.

 Will I get unwanted promotional mail via text message?

No. Delivery Chef does not sell your cell phone numbers to third parties

 Is my Credit/ Debit card, internet banking data safe?

Delivery Chef re-routes all credit/debit card and internet banking transactions to CC Avenue's secure Payment Gateway, a site secured by Verisign.

 How much should I tip for delivery?

It is customary in Mumbai that delivery people are paid anywhere between 10%-20% of the food/beverage total.

 I cannot find my area, zone, subzone in drop-down. How do I order food?

Delivery Chef has worked extensively to locate and include every part of Mumbai on its list of areas. Please select the area, zone and/or sub-zone that best describes the location you would like your food delivered to. However if your area, zone or sub-zone is not adequately described in our options, please let us know by emailing us at admin@deliverychef.in and we will include it at the earliest.

 Why can't I see a specific food spot?

On Delivery Chef, you only view a list of food spots that deliver to the area, zone and/or sub-zone you enter in the search box. If you are unable to view a particular food spot, it may primarily be because that food spot does not deliver to your address or is not in the pick-up location you selected. If you are unable to view a food spot that you have previously ordered from at the same address, it could be because we sometimes temporarily remove listings from our website for reasons such as significant menu updates or renovations.  I could not find my favorite food spot on your network. What do I do? / Why don’t you have [XYZ Food Spot] listed on Delivery Chef?

DeliveryChef is a demand-driven network of the best delivery and pick-up foodspots in an area. We realize that you know your locality a lot better than we do, so if you have any suggestions for us in terms of which food spots you would like to order from, please let us know at admin@deliverychef.in and we will definitely try our best to bring them to your doorstep. We are counting on you! Infact, to speed up the process of adding your favourtie food spots to our network, it would be great if you could suggest to the manager there that you would love to order from them through Delivery Chef.

 Can I order from a non-listed restaurant?

No. Delivery Chef is only able to accept orders for food from food spots on our network. If a food spot you would like to order from is not on our network, please inform us at admin@deliverychef.in so that we can add them. It would also be great if you could let the manager at that Food

 What can I do to help get my favorite food spot on Delivery Chef?

Please tell us about it at admin@deliverychef.in or through the Recommend a Food Spot page! We love to hear from you. You can also tell the manager at the food spot that you would love to be able to order from them on Delivery Chef.

 I have some complaints about my order - to whom should they be addressed?

You mean a lot to us. At Delivery Chef, we strive to maintain your satisfaction with the food spots on our network. For any complaints, please contact us at admin@deliverychef.in or on +91 22 2200 3330 between 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, seven days a week. If an issue is not brought to our attention, we will be unable to resolve it. We sincerely appreciate your feedback.

 How do I contact a food spot about my order?

You will receive the contact information of the food spot in your order confirmation email. Alternatively, you can contact Delivery Chef on +91 22 2220 3330

 Can I see a list of all of my orders?

All your past orders can be accessed through the Recent Orders link under the My Account section. You can even filter by a date range. To repeat that perfect order, simply click Re-order, as you would tell the steward if you were at the food spot.

 Can I have two Delivery Chef accounts with the same email address?

No. Your email address is the login name for the account and hence you are only allowed to have one account assigned to an email address.

 Can I have multiple delivery addresses associated with one account? / Can I order food to be delivered to my office address?

Yes, You may save multiple addresses under one account. In this case, please specify the address where you want the food delivered.

 Can I save addresses to order from?

Delivery Chef gives you the option of saving multiple delivery addresses to order to if you want. You do not need to save your address before you order from it; however, if you save addresses, you can save time entering them when you order.

 My address has changed. How do I update it?

To update a new address, click on My Profile and go to Saved Addresses. Click on Add a New Address which is below My Saved Addresses. After you fill in the details click on SUBMIT. To Edit a Saved Address, click the Edit button.

 How do I update my profile? My e-mail address/ phone numbers have changed. How do I update it?

After you have logged into your Delivery Chef account, click on My Account under My Profile where you can update your personal information like your name, nickname, password, phone/mobile no. birthday, email address and also your picture. After you are done click on SAVE CHANGES.

 Can I gift a meal?

Yes. You can gift a meal the same way as ordering online. In the delivery details please enter the address of the recipient and ensure you pay for the meal online so that it is indeed a gift for your recipient.

 If a food spot is closed right now, how do I see its menu?

If a Food Spot is closed right now, and you just want to see its menu, please select a delivery time during which the food spot is open. You can see the hours of operation of a food spot on the rollover on its name in the food spot listing page.

User ratings collate the feedback of other Delivery Chef users for the food spot. User ratings are on a scale on 1 star to 5 stars, 5 stars symbolizing the highest rating. User ratings help you judge customers' opinions about food spots.

  How are the user ratings for a food spot generated?

The user rating you see for a food spot is the average of all the ratings given to the food spot to date by other users. If you have a view about a particular item or food spot, be sure to give us your opinion and rate it. Rest assured, your point of view will reflect in the overall rating. Your views will only help us and the food spots improve our services.

  How do I rate a food spot?

To rate a Food Spot, either click on the stars near the Food Spot listing or click on the link "Review/ Rate this Food Spot" on the Food Spot’s page. You need to be logged in to rate a Food Spot.

  Can I write reviews for the food spots?

If you are logged in, you can write reviews for food spots by clicking on the “Review/ Rate this Food Spot” link on the Food Spot’s page. Reviews posted on Delivery Chef will only be published if they comply with Delivery Chef's review policy.
